DEAF ARTS FESTIVAL NI

Sarah co-founded the Deaf Arts Festival NI, a pioneering festival celebrating Deaf artists, culture, and creativity across Northern Ireland. 

Working closely with the Deaf community, Sarah has helped shape and grow the festival through collaboration, consultation, and a shared commitment to celebrating Deaf culture and artistic expression. Through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and community engagement, her vision and leadership have created a vibrant and inclusive space where Deaf voices, stories, and creativity can thrive, while championing greater representation and accessibility within the arts sector.

Now in its fourth year, the festival has become an important platform for showcasing Deaf talent, promoting accessibility in the arts, and fostering greater understanding between Deaf and hearing communities. The festival is delivered through the charitable arts organisation Cre8 Theatre, of which Sarah is the Artistic Director.
